Quick Brewed Iced Tea (1 gallon) Place loose tea (see measurements below) in a heat resistant gallon container.  Bring 1/2 gallon of cold water to a boil. Pour boiling water directly over the tea and steep for 6-8 minutes minutes.  Pour through mesh strainer into a gallon pitcher over 1/2 gallon of ice. Store in refrigerator for up to four or five days.

Recommended Teas and Measurements for Making 1 Gallon of Iced Tea (as per video above) Feel free to try your own favorite tea as an iced tea! To do so, look for a tea on the list that is from the same category and start by using the same amount of tea. (ie. American Breakfast is a black tea, so you can use the same measurements as for Classic Black)

Classic Black (black tea ~ 1/2 cup tea leaves)

Dubliner’s Irish Breakfast (black tea ~ 1/3-1/2 cup tea leaves)

Citrus Ginger Green (green tea ~ 1/3-1/2 cup tea leaves)

Cranberry Apple Ginger (herbal tea ~ 1 cup tea leaves)

Daily Cup Green (green tea ~ 1/3-1/2 cup tea leaves)

Earl Grey (black tea ~ 1/2 cup tea leaves)

Ginger Peach (black tea ~ 1/2 cup tea leaves)

Jasmine Green (green tea ~ 1/3-1/2 cup tea leaves)

Lemon Berry (herbal tea ~3/4 cup herbal tea) decaf

Mintology (herbal tea ~ 1/2 cup herbal) decaf

Moroccan Mint Green (green tea ~ 1/3-1/2 cup tea leaves)

Vanilla Black (black tea ~ 1/2 cup tea leaves)

White Melon (white tea ~ 1 cup tea leaves)

White Pomegranate (white tea ~ 1 cup tea leaves)

See list above this video for recommendations on which teas make great iced tea. Use 7-10 teaspoons of any teas listed above to make iced tea in the 50 oz/1.5l MIST Iced Tea Jug. While the jug can be used to make iced tea with hot water, I prefer the cold brew method mentioned in the video with this jug because: * Cold brewed iced tea tends not to get bitter….a smoother cup * Once your iced tea is finished, it will keep for 4-5 days in your refrigerator * Don’t have to remove the tea leaves to store in your refrigerator….unlikely the tea will become bitter
