White Heron Teas are kind of a splurge, but whenever I have my first cup I think, I'll never go back to the store brand!

I love White Heron Teas and buy this tea as well as American Breakfast. Both are lovely teas and we enjoy them every afternoon!

Best Assam I've tried, really good with milk and sugar. Definitely malty.

I like Assam Gold tea, and I’ve tried a few from different brands. This one is by far my favorite!

    Morning tea

This makes an excellent black breakfast tea. I used to drink Guatemalan Attitlan - when I couldn't get that anymore I switched to this and find it very satisfactory.

    Assam perfection

Posted by Linda McGivern on 20th Apr 2016

I have always loved the White Heron Assam Gold since it first started appearing in NH stores a few years ago. For some perverse reason unknown even to myself I stopped buying it and started buying a lesser quality non-organic Assam from one of those ubiquitous on-line tea sellers. When I did a price comparison this time, the White Heron 1-lb bag of my fave tea was less expensive than the lower quality, sort of fine-but-not-great Assam I was getting from the on-line seller. I ordered the dope from White Heron (by far the smoothest, most delicious Assam I have ever brewed and that is all I will say since I am able to "tea speak") and it came to my door -- I kid you not -- the next morning. Wow.
